Mountain Sports School activities are open for the season! Under a beautiful summer sky, the Bungee, Rock Wall, Ropes Course, and the Via Ferrata hosted their first summer guests. It was a busy start to the season; the Village is buzzing!
CATCH UP ON TECH TRANSITIONS
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is undergoing two significant technology transitions, and we want to share our progress with you and give you a few tips to approach the new programs with ease:
Snowcloud is the program replacing RTP - our former operating system. This is the system we used as our sales platform, scheduling, payroll, customer records and many other functions. Snowcloud is being built ‘to suit’ for us. With that in mind, the move to Snowcloud is a huge change and development will be an ongoing process.
You can create your new JH Snowcloud profile now! Follow this link: Sign
up or Login. This will open the log-in page. Follow the prompts from here to complete the process. Your email will be your unique username. It is important you register with an email you have supplied to JHMR, use frequently, and can access easily.

Snowcloud is also replacing ProCard. That means that your access to ProCard will end on June 30th. If you haven't already, you may want to migrate the information in your ProCard profile to save on your home device. Open the website oneturnwonder. Log in using your ProCard credentials. No new account or credentials are needed. From here, follow the prompts to download your information. Access to this transfer will end on June 30 as our access to ProCard will terminate that day. Please don’t miss this opportunity. The quickest way to access your information is through the export hub link:

How is the Snowcloud transition going?
It's one of the questions we're hearing most often, and the honest answer is that it's been a mix of successes, challenges, and a tremendous amount of hard work.
Moving away from a system we've relied on for more than 25 years is a once-in-a-generation change that touches nearly every part of our business. We expected a transition of this scale to be challenging, and that has certainly been true. Some things are going smoothly, while others, frankly, are not.
There have already been some important successes. Our season pass sale launched on the new platform in May, guests are reserving and purchasing summer activities, and our winter seasonal programs, camps, and BYO Groups are now live. At the same time, a great deal of work continues behind the scenes. Our team and the Snowcloud team are learning, adapting, and improving the system every day to better support the experience we strive to deliver for both our guests and our employees.
What has remained constant throughout this transition is the commitment from everyone involved. Our team and the Snowcloud team have been putting in long hours, solving problems together, and staying focused on getting this right. There is still a lot of work ahead, and we're confident the effort being invested today will build a stronger foundation for the future.
ADP Lyric
ADP Lyric is our new Human Resources technology. Its functions will cover recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, payroll for hourly staff and other payroll reporting. This system is fully built; however, our HR team is working with their team to accomplish some small adjustments.
What can I do NOW? If you haven’t already, register for Lyric. Follow this link to get yourself registered. If you did this last season, AWESOME.
How is this transition going? Switching our entire HR platform is a herculean effort. MSS is learning the system alongside the HR staff. Fortunately, we have had the summer hiring and on-boarding season to learn a lot about how this will roll out this fall for the winter season. One new feature will be that every returning employee will need to complete an ‘Intent to Return’ form. We are working out the details of this process with HR. The offer process will have some extra steps compared to previous seasons. We will share these details with you when they are finalized.
WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON?
The Village summer activities are all up and running full throttle! Bungee Tramp, Rock Wall, Ropes Course, Summer Camp (with the addition of bike camp days) and Via Ferrata are running. Two amazing additions this summer are cooking class theme days (sponsored and hosted by Rich M in the KR kitchen)

And, of course, the highly anticipated new Corbet’s Via Ferrata routes.
These routes are scheduled to open on July 18th following a rescue demonstration with the Forest Service on the 16th. The two new routes are appropriately named Exposure Therapy and Commitment Issues.

NEXT WINTER
Yup, we sure are thinking about it. We have a few transitions to share.
Tai McDermott, who stepped so handily into the role of Pioneer Program Manager, is moving on to new adventures. He has his eye on nursing school; the talent for compassion, logistics and technical excellence he brought to MSS will serve him in a health provider profession well!
Mike McGee who has guided and mentored our snowboard instructors for the last 8 years, has also decided to step away from a management position. He will return to his roots as an instructor and trainer for the School as he explores some entrepreneurial opportunities he has been working on.
Both of these transitions will leave big gaps within their respective programs. We will be posting the Pioneer Manager and Snowboard Supervisor positions shortly. If you are interested in learning more about either of them, please reach out to either Paul (paul.franzeim@jacksonhole.com) or Lexey (Lexey.wauters@jacksonhole.com).
Lastly- some SUPER cool news. Ski Magazine recently ranked JHMR as the #1 Ski Resort in North America. This is an editorial ranking; they considered the characteristics that make a ski area the greatest of all time: quality of terrain, reliability of snow, and accessibility. They cite all of the reasons we come back every year- quality of terrain and snow with increased access to intermediate terrain. We know from experience that our snowmaking and grooming efforts make this possible; we sure learned that last season!
That’s all for now! If you understand nothing else from this newsletter- read the part about oneturnwonder and migrating your ProCard information. Do that before June 30. Before June 30th. Really- before June 30th!!!
Enjoy the summer!
