Early Tram/Gondi Bookings

Tram: 8:24, 8:36, 8:48 | Gondola: 8:30 -8:45

Early lift access is available for privates, adult local groups and camps. All guests must be accompanied by an MSS instructor or backcountry guide before loading the Tram/Gondi. Advance bookings are required for all early lift access. To book, contact the sales staff at least one day before (or earlier, if during holiday rush). You MUST provide an accurate guest count when booking. You may not decrease your guest count on the day-of; clients will be charged based on the original reserved number of spots.

  • Early Tram is an $85 upcharge for the first guest, and then $75 for each additional guest (up to 5)

  • Early Gondi is a $70 upcharge for the first guest, and then $60 for each additional guest (up to 5)

Once booked, ensure you and your guests understand the routine before powder fever sets in! Meet your clients on snow, either off of the back deck of the tram or in front of the gondola maze. Your entire group must be present to load. Check in with the MSS Supervisor on duty, let him/her know your group is ready, and follow any further instructions the supervisor may give you as you load. If your group misses your time slot for early tram, you may check with the Early Gondi Supervisor instead.

Once at the top, be respectful of the work other departments are still doing to get the mountain open. Stay out of the way by proceeding directly inside the Rendezvous Lodge (Gondi), or inside/onto the deck of Corbet’s Cabin (Tram). ABSOLUTELY NO PUTTING ON SKIS/SNOWBOARDS UNTIL SKI PATROL OFFICIALLY CALLS THE MOUNTAIN OPEN. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Early access is a privilege that JHMR has extended to MSS for its private clientele. There may be instances when the avalanche hazard for the day demands that early access be called off. Our supervisors and sales staff will share this information via ProCard as soon as we receive it. We appreciate your patience and understanding on these challenging mornings when we would rather be up skiing powder already, too!

Early
Cancellations

Private Cancellations

If your private guest cancels within 24 hours of the start of a lesson, the guest will be charged a 50% cancellation fee*. In such cases, we will strive to book you on another lesson. If you do not receive a replacement assignment, you will be paid for the cancelled lesson as follows:

· Full day private lesson cancellation – Instructor receives 2 hours' pay at private assigned rate

· Half day private lesson cancellation – Instructor receives 1 hour of pay at private assigned rate

*You can waive the cancellation fee for your guests. If you choose to waive the fee, you will not receive any pay for the cancelled lesson.

Instructors cancelling private lessons after the lesson was scheduled to occur:

Please contact MSS Sales or a private lesson manager as soon as possible to cancel private lessons for your guests. Instructors who wait until the end of the day, or the day after a lesson is scheduled, to cancel will:

· Be scheduled as MIA with a note in their schedule for review with their supervisor during either the mid-season or end of season review. MIAs may prevent an instructor from receiving his/her Progressive Performance Pay.

· Forfeit Instructor Managed pay for the entire booking. Cancelling lessons in a timely manner so that you can be rescheduled and your guest doesn’t get charged is part of managing your guest booking.

· Forfeit Referral pay for the day of the cancelled lesson.
