WELCOME TO OUR NEW MSS TEAM MEMBERS!!
As we are now under 60 days until opening, we want to welcome you to the fold and share some information with you. Paul, Meg and I enjoyed meeting you through our interview and hiring process and cannot wait to meet you in person.
WHO ARE WE?
The MSS (Mountain Sports School), and by extension Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, is a community of passionate and dedicated professionals that live the following ethos daily.

MEET THE TEAM
The MSS’s senior management group is here to support you in your new adventure. We can’t wait to get to know you. Never hesitate to reach out to any of us with questions, concerns or great stories!

Matt Clos, Director
As Director of the Mountain Sports School, Matt oversees all aspects of ski and snowboard school operations, from guest experience and staff development to business performance and long-term growth. With 22 years in the MSS, he is deeply proud of the team and culture that make this place special. His focus is on supporting staff, fostering professional growth, and creating safe, memorable experiences that build meaningful relationships and inspire guests to return year after year.

Lexey Wauters, Assistant Director
With the school for over four decades, Lexey spreads JOY. She oversees adult group lessons, snowboard classes, private lessons, the alpine guide program and the adaptive program as well as summer operations. She also assists with vision, strategy and implementation of recruiting, hiring, training and staffing school-wide. She is the go-to person for ProCard issues. Prior to serving in her current role, Lexey spent time as the MSS Training Manager, Explorer Supervisor and Adult Class Supervisor as well as 20 years as an instructor and member of the PSIA-I Ed Staff.

Ann Schorling, Business Manager
Ann is in charge of all things budget and money related, designing new offerings, and planning financial strategy. She participates in vision and strategy for all parts of the school. Before entering her current role, Ann taught skiing at JHMR for 14 seasons and is still a member of our Alpine Training staff. Ann has been a member of the PSIA-AASI National Alpine Team since 2016 and works for our regional education staff.

Paul Franzeim, Recruiting and Training Manager
Paul participates in vision and strategy for the school and works to weave those strategies into the training programming. He also manages training staff as well as the team organizing the recruiting and hiring of staff. Paul has been working with MSS for 24 years and has been a member of the PSIA regional Education Staff since 2008.

Steve Thomas, Youth Programs Manager
Originally from the icy slopes of the east coast, Steve has taught skiing and snowboarding at 9 different resorts over 31 seasons in the ski industry. He is extremely proud of the JHMR Youth Programs and the amazing instructors and supervisors that make the magic happen. He is easy to spot at 6' 5" tall and usually wears a Boston Red Sox hat, so feel free to say hi and introduce yourself. Welcome to the team!

Whitney Roof, Sales Manager
Whitney loves to spread joy about the Georgia Bulldawgs, and then when she isn’t talking about football, she oversees the sales team at the Bridger Center and Kids Ranch. She also assists with Procard and Probooking, setting up MSS products, managing website pages for MSS, managing communications with our MSS guests, and helping to support our supervisor team in whatever ways they need.

Hailey Sentz, Early Childhood Development Manager
Born in Jackson and raised at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Hailey’s family has been a part of the JHMR family since the beginning. She learned to ski at the Kids Ranch and now manages the Early Childhood programs and oversees the Kids Ranch operations. She absolutely loves working with children and is proud to support the staff who care for them.

James Huffman, Admin Supervisor
James handles onboarding, job offers, payroll, uniforms, lockers, and troubleshooting other admin-related issues. Email him or Ashley Toon (ashley.toon@jacksonhole.com) or find them in the Bridger Center basement with any questions you may have!
Product Zone Supervisors
In addition to our senior management team, each of you will have a team of supervisors in your product zone. You work with them daily. Scheduling, pay, class assignments and daily flow are in their hands. You will meet them during your orientation training.
WHAT’S NEXT?
Over the next 6 weeks you will receive communications from us that will help guide you through your on-boarding process, introductory training and orientations and an all-company on-line orientation that is mandatory for all employees. Sooner than you expect (or not soon enough?), we will be greeting you here in Jackson. Your mandatory training schedule is below:
