While Teton Village feels quiet right now, there is a beehive of activity happening just below the surface as we gear up for the season. We want to share a quick update with you on what’s happening now, and what’s coming up soon.
The biggest (and most exciting) news for all of us is that we have new members joining our supervisor/management team and some exciting changes among our current team. Here they are:

We are thrilled to announce that Meg Lovely has been elevated to a Private Lesson Manager. This well-deserved recognition reflects her efforts creating systems to drive productivity at private lessons, particularly corporate groups and managing our largest product zone. She balances this with her role as staff trainer and as regional Children Specialist Trainer.

Tai McDermott will be joining the Pioneer team as a manager. He is in his 9th winter in the MSS and has been an Explorer supervisor for the last 4 years. He has always enjoyed working with kids: he says “it gives me opportunity to be silly, to have fun, and to be a role model for others.” He is looking forward to being able to share his knowledge with the Pioneer room and the Kid's Ranch as well as continue to learn from our guests, instructors, and peers.

Anna Swanson will be joining Tai and Jake V at Pioneers. She is originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where she had a career in corporate infrastructure I.T. for nearly a decade. In 2019, she moved into an RV and traveled to Jackson Hole for a more adventurous lifestyle following a passion for climbing. She learned how to ski at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort as an adult learner. As part of the management team, Anna states,” I am excited to support those around me pursuing their dreams and a life well lived.”

Just across the hall, Thea Lucarelli will join Hillary and Jess in the Rough Rider Program. She was born and raised in Telluride CO which fostered a love for skiing and the outdoors. From there she attended CU Boulder where she studied Psychology and Business while skiing for the club team. The day after she graduated she moved to Jackson, and a day later she was instructing for JHMR. About her new position, Thea states,” I love skiing, the color pink, and glitter!”

Cristina Fenner is transitioning is transitioning into a different position, Kids Ranch Coordinator. This role will allow her to combine her experience and knowledge to support our staff, guests and the operation of all the programs in the Kids Ranch.

Moving up the hill to Solitude Station, Dan Hogan, a long time industry professional, will be joining us at JHMR for the first time as an Explorer supervisor alongside TD and Franz. From Dan: “Hi, I'm Dan and I love skiing and teaching skiing.” He started his ski school journey at a small mountain in Massachusetts and he has been hooked since then. Over 35 seasons later, he still finds as much joy in sharing the sport and the mountain. New to Jackson Hole this winter , he is excited to join this team. His favorite part of being a supervisor is spending time with instructors; supporting them in achieving their goals. He is looking forward to meeting everyone and having a great winter!

Greg and Richard will be joined by Sean Baker at Adult Alpine groups. Originally from Sugarloaf, ME, Sean is on the PSIA education staff and been an instructor at JHMR since winter 2007-2008. Sean says, ”as a part of the supervision staff, I’m dedicated to helping skiers build confidence and skills, without making them fall too much! Excited to work with the team and keep learning along the way.”
This is the largest infusion of new talent we have had in our supervisor/manager team in a while. We could not be more excited to welcome them!
OTHER NEWS
PRODUCT UPDATES

We are excited to introduce the Mountain Adventure Class- for adult alpine and snowboard guests. Advanced and Expert level skiers and riders will now meet at the Bridger Gondola at 8:30 am for an early ride up the hill. This product will run from 9 am to 3 pm and includes lunch.
We will also have new meet times for all adult Beginner, Novice and Intermediate level skiers and riders. These guests will meet at 9:15 for a 9:30 lesson start. All groups meet at Solitude Station. The lessons will end at 3:30 pm.

After a small pilot program last year, we added an Early drop off program for children at the Kids Ranch. Parents in an early access product (early tram or gondola) may drop their children (registered in a group product with MSS) off at the Kids Ranch starting at 8 am. Once at the Ranch, our staff will facilitate getting the child to the correct meeting place with their gear. There is a fee for this service, and reservations are required. This is only available for guests in an early access product, not the general public.
New in our youth seasonal programs- Saturday AND Sunday Scouts. This addition was in response to requests from parents and overwhelming popularity of last year’s Sunday sessions.
