JHMR Preseason Details & Employee Ski Day

Hello Mountain Sports School Team,

With opening just three days away, we have some very exciting news to share with you.

Pre-Season Employee Ski Day The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Ownership and Leadership are thrilled to announce a pre-season employee Ski/Ride day tomorrow, Wednesday, November 23rd! Please see Mary Kate Buckley’s email below for details.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Ownership and Leadership are prioritizing the employee experience and will open the Resort to skiing for JHMR employees only.

WE WANT TO SHARE OUR PASSION FOR JACKSON HOLE AND OUR MOUNTAIN WITH OUR EMPLOYEES AND OUR GUESTS TO CREATE MEANINGFUL CONNECTIONS.

To recognize our employees and thank you for your efforts thus far, we are hosting EMPLOYEE-ONLY SKIING:

WHEN: Wednesday, November 23rd 12:00pm-3:00pm

LIFTS: Teewinot and Après Vous only. Werner and Moran runs down to Werner to the base because South pass to Teewinot gully are unlikely to be ready.

Mountain set up is still going on and we ask that you ski and ride safely and maintain your personal awareness to the set up that is ongoing.

WHO: JHMR Employees Only

This is an unpaid event, no on-the-clock skiing or riding is permitted, unless required by your job.

PROCESS: All employees will need their employee pass or an incomplete paperwork day ticket. Please ensure you pick up your passes or ticket from the Tickets & Guest Services office prior to going to the lift!

If you do not have your season pass and have not completed your hire paperwork prior to employee ski day please speak to your manager to receive an incomplete paperwork form so you can pick up a comp day ticket.

We look forward to an amazing season together and thank you for all of the hard work you have already put in to get the mountain ready for Opening Day on Friday.

Parking and Transportation

Parking is free at Teton Village lots now through Friday, Nov. 25th. Although drivers will be prompted to take a ticket, parking fees will not be charged until Saturday, November 26th. As always, vehicles with 3+ passengers may park for free at the Ranch Lot.

The START bus will also switch over to their winter schedule on Saturday, November 26th. Supplementing START, the Teton Village Association will be running Stilson Express busses from the Stilson lot on the schedule below.

Opening Day Lifts and Terrain 11/25/2022 We are very excited to announce that we will open a wide variety of terrain, all located on the north side of the Resort, connected by five lifts: Teewinot, Après Vous, Sweetwater, Casper and Teton. With these five lifts, guests will have the opportunity to access a collection of beginner and intermediate terrain. Early-season conditions still exist, and all guests are advised to stay out of closed areas and look for hazards.

Bookings

Please encourage your guests to book their lessons and lift tickets for their trip to Jackson ASAP. We have already sold out of lift access over the peak holiday dates (MSS does still have a limited amount of lift access reserved for your guests). Also, MSS pricing steps up to our in-season rates starting on Friday, so please reach out to your guests and have them book now to receive the lowest rates on their lessons.

Thanksgiving

As a direct result of feedback from employees, we have moved our opening day this season to Friday, November 25th. We encourage you all to enjoy Thanksgiving with your friends and family.

We hope to see you all out tomorrow for employee Ski/Ride day and we couldn’t be more excited to start the winter 2022-2023 season on Friday!
