We hope this newsletter finds you all enjoying the summer wherever you are!

Summer Operations
Summer activities in the Village are bustling. The base area activities - Bungee Trampoline, Rock Wall and Ropes Course - are well staffed up! Summer Camp is busy and theme Fridays remain a favorite.
We are adding two new routes to the Via Ferrata - an additional intermediate route on Ranger Ridge and another aspirational route (read: advanced climbers welcome!) on the Casper Buttress. They should be ready for approval by the Forest Service by the middle of August. In the meantime, the guides are climbing with guests everyday and, for the second year in a row, we have a small but growing adaptive presence on the course.

If you haven’t had a chance to get out and try the Via Ferrata, it is highly recommended and super fun! There is currently a 20% discount being offered to passholders if you book by August 1. Additionally, groups of up to 5 mountain employees (winter 2022 or current summer) can climb together for the 1-2 person booking rate.
Other fun activities going on in The Village include yoga on the top of the Bridger Gondola (Thursdays and Saturdays) and Concerts on the Commons on Sunday evenings (event schedule here).

Winter News
Winter job applications will go live on August 1. We will be looking for certified and non-certified instructors this year. We will likely aim to add 75-90 new instructors to start the season, with the bulk of them hired to teach ages 3-7 yrs old. If you know of anybody that may be interested, have them fill out an application at https://www.jacksonhole.com/employment. Remember- if you worked with us last season, you will automatically get an offer. No need to re-apply!
Wages
We are still in the winter wage approval process. As soon as we receive approval, we will communicate winter wages with all of you. Our current plan is that we will send a communication, host a townhall meeting, and schedule small group meetings to ensure that everyone receives the wage information, understands the decisions that were made, and has a chance to give their feedback and have their questions answered.
Products & Pricing
Exciting news! All winter lift access, MSS, and rental products will be available for sale starting on August 1. This is the first time we’ve been able to rollout all of our products on the same date.
Lift Access
Lift access will be managed this season the same as it has been the past two winters. This season, lift access will be sold at the largest discount from August 1 through September 30. Starting on October 1, lift access prices will increase to the in-season rate. Please encourage your guests to purchase their lift access early, they’ll get the best price and ensure they have access for their entire trip to Jackson.
Private Lessons
Mountain Sports School lessons will be priced more dynamically this winter. We will have a regular season and peak season price for private and class lesson products. Guests who purchase between August 1 and the start of the winter season (November 25) will receive an early purchase rate that is lower than the in-season rate. The new private lesson pricing is shown below to add clarity.

We made the decision to move to this pricing model vs. static pricing for several reasons:
Early Purchase Pricing
· Provides the guest with an incentive to book early to get the lowest rate
· Helps the resort as the guest commits to their vacation at JHMR earlier
· Helps MSS better understand our instructor staffing/scheduling needs for the season
Regular and Peak Season pricing
· Helps address supply/demand over peak periods
· Provides an incentive to book during off-peak times
What does this mean for you and your guests? You should get in touch with your guests and get their lessons and lift access booked as early as possible! If your guests are not sure on lesson dates, have them book more days to lock in the early purchase rate and they can cancel outside 24 hours at no penalty.
Also - if you haven’t yet - please sign your Scout, Ranger, TVR, or EVO skier or rider up for their seasonal program as soon as possible. We will be forming groups much earlier this season and having your kids names submitted early will give them the best chance possible of being placed in the correct group. A reminder that these programs (with the exception of Scouts) won’t start until after the December holidays this season.
Child Care
Child care for employees will be limited again this winter. Applications for the winter season will open around August 1. For questions and more information contact Hailey Sentz (hailey.sentz@jacksonhole.com)
Housing
We will know our allocation for employee housing by the beginning of next month. If you would like to be considered for housing OR- just as important- if you will have a room or facility open, please reach out (Lexey.wauters@jacksonhole.com).
Party
And last but not least- PARTY FOR KERCH!
As soon as we can find a time when Kerch is not strolling around a golf course somewhere sipping on a cold beverage, we are having a party. Stay tuned for details!
