A view of the Via Ferrata suspension bridge during a fall trip!

If this photo doesn’t illustrate the end of the summer season, I’m not sure what does! The tram stopped spinning on Sunday Oct 8th. We are happily anticipating some beautiful fall days, and another fantastic winter season.

The trailhead for Mount Elly, this Thursday's hike. Come join us!

The Fall Hiking series is in full swing with hikes scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday and many Wednesdays through the middle of November. Hikes typically meet at 4 pm. The fall colors are GOING OFF right now and hiking is a great addition to your pre-season fitness routine. You can find the hiking schedule on the ProCard Training Calendar.

On that note, pre-season fitness can NOT be over-prioritized. Gyms around town that are running ski fitness classes include:

These classes emphasize strength, power, endurance and mobility; all critical factors in performing your best, staying injury free, and having the MOST FUN. If an organized class isn’t your jam, investigate on-line programs that you can do at home. Skiing or riding yourself into shape is a thing of the past.

So, now that you are getting super fit for skiing and riding, what else do you need to do to make this the best season ever?

FIRST, respond to your offer! Offers are in your email inbox. Please respond (whether you are a decline or an accept) as that helps us understand our staffing for the season. If you can’t find your offer, please reach out to James (james.huffman@jacksonhole.com) to have it re-sent. Once you accept your offer, you will receive a confirmation email (usually within 3 business days) with all the next steps outlined. If you have questions about your status, pay or priority, please accept your offer and then reach out to your pre-season contact (indicated in offer letter) to sort them out.

NEXT, schedule your on-boarding appointment. Your offer will have an on-boarding deadline indicated and there is a direct link included in your confirmation email. Remember, YOU MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT! Since we need to process your on-boarding documents before you can complete them, we cannot onboard you without an appointment. And remember- no on-board; no pass. If you are having trouble sorting out an appointment by your deadline, please reach out to James.

THEN, submit your schedule request form. Please complete this to the best of your ability. While we can’t guarantee that we will be able to accommodate every schedule request, we will do our best. If you don’t submit a schedule, your supervisor will schedule you based on your status and our staffing needs. We know there are a lot of moving parts with your winter schedule; your individual supervisors will help you with specific details once we get rolling.

ALSO, sign up for your training sessions. Each of you was assigned a training group, that is indicated on your offer letter. When you go to ProCard training, you will see that sessions are titled by those training groups. Based on your status, sign up for the proper number of training days in the proper training group (FT and PT+- 2 days; PT and Peak-1 day).

Supervisors will be back in the office starting in November. The Private Lesson team will be in office on Wed Nov 8th and the rest of the supervisors will start Monday Nov 13th. Their supervisor emails (first.last@jacksonhole.com) won’t be active until then. If you need to reach out to someone prior to that, please contact your early season contact listed in your job offer.

In other news, we are hiring a Private Lesson Supervisor. This person will be working alongside Caroline Manley and Tristan Jackson in the Bridger Basement. It is a 5-day a week, salaried position. Candidates should have excellent relationship building and communication skills, be highly proficient with computers, and have a passion for skiing/riding. If you are interested or just curious, please review the job description here, feel free to reach out to Lexey at Lexey.wauters@jacksonhole.com. Looking forward to hearing from some of you!

New in ProCard this season! Soon, three automatic emails will be generated when you complete a ProBooking request. Your guest will receive a summary email detailing their reservation information and providing pre-arrival details. You will receive a confirmation email allowing you to review guest details, dates, and products for accuracy. Additionally, Sales will receive an email confirming the reservation and indicating whether the guest has a valid form of payment. In cases where payment information is incomplete or incorrect, Sales will contact the guest to update their credit card information. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to the season.

Development of the Stilson parcel (at the corner of Highways 22 and 390) is being discussed. Follow this link to a very informative letter form Mark Kate Buckley to learn more and to discover how you can be involved.
