Welcome to Winter 2025-26! You should receive your offer by the middle of next week. We are sharing the information below to answer questions and clarify updates about this year’s offers.
Insider’s Guide to your Offer
Wages winter 2025-26
This winter, we again focused instructor wage increases on base wages. Pay has increased across Groups 2–15, and we’ve added two new pay groups to recognize and incentivize our most experienced and highly certified instructors. You can view the 2025–26 Points Wage Scale here.
Looking ahead, we’re planning a significant change for the 2026–27 season. We are planning to retire the PPP and introduce a graduated base wage system, where instructor base wages automatically increase once you reach specific work hours thresholds during the season.
We’ll share updates as this plan develops and will host Q&A sessions this winter to ensure everyone understands the new system well before it takes effect.
Priority Groups updates
The priority system updates that we shared last winter will go into effect this season. Priority points are earned through Primary discipline certification, Children’s Specialist accreditation, hours worked in the previous season, instructor managed hours worked in the previous season , class lesson students taught in the previous season, unpaid training hours in the and current status. Key changes include:
Reduced weighting of previous season’s work hours
Counting instructor managed hours instead of request hours for Private lessons
Inclusion of points for unpaid training hours
Adjusting the points for current season status
These updates help align our priority system with what we value: in-season commitment, repeat guest visitation, and professional development. You can view the full system here.
Status updates
Status remains largely unchanged with some minor exceptions outlined below.
We have defined scheduling expectations by status for Private, Youth, and Adult group lesson instructors. These schedule expectations reflect varying staffing needs across product zones due to differing business demands through the course of the season. Scheduling expectations can be viewed here.
Tier 1 days are now called "Mandatory Schedule Days" to reduce confusion
We created a new "First Year Instructor" status for all incoming, uncertified hires. This designation will help us set clear and accurate expectations for work hours during their first season.
Deadlines to be aware of:
Deadlines for schedule request form, onboarding and season availability are by status, and are included in your offer.
Questions or concerns about your offer?
You will see a pre-season contact person indicated for you. The product zone supervisors are not back at it until mid-November. If you have questions or concerns prior to that, please reach out to your pre-season contact.
