We have some exciting new ProCard functionality to share with you! For those of you returning, you will recognize the ProCard home page pictured above. For those of you who are new, you will become familiar with ProCard in the coming weeks.

ProBooking

The ProBooking process has been automated so that when you submit a booking request in ProBooking, it directly populates your schedule with no manual entries needed from Sales or Supervisors. You can also easily cancel or modify bookings originated by you. Simply go to your schedule, click the bell icon next to the booking, and choose to cancel or change. Quick tip: Cancelling reverts you to 'Available for Privates,' so rebook immediately if needed. For bookings before Oct 20th, without the bell icon, contact the Supervisor Team for changes.

Check Out

While not a new functionality, we are introducing changes to the checkout process. Starting this year, each lesson requires a class list and a Pro Verified Level for all students. We are making this shift because our school is unique, especially in the volume of upper-level lessons we provide. Quantifying the levels we teach will help us support both you and our guests better.

The key reasons behind this change:

  • Staff Retention: Understanding lesson levels across all products will provide data we can use to better support you, our staff, through professional development and retention initiatives. It will help us tell our story from a business standpoint and is a step towards making data-based decisions and budget requests to potentially boost our recruiting and training budget.

  • Gender Equity Integration: Inspired by Ann Schorling's research on gender equity, we're committed to using data to ensure fair work assignments. Leveling lessons gives us this data.

  • Understanding guests better: Understanding our guests better helps us curate student/instructor matches and improve how we care for our guests.

This change will be the most impactful of the year. We hope the long-term result will be an improved ability to take care of our instructors and guests. Thank you in advance for the extra time you take each day while signing out from lessons.

To level your students, follow these ProCard steps:

1. Open the activity in your schedule.

2. Scroll down to Create Class List. You may see an automatically generated list based on your students’ scans throughout the day. If there is a name that doesn’t belong, you may remove that person. If there is a name missing, you may type the first few letters of the name missing and you will see the field auto-populate. From the auto-populated list, choose the correct student. If you haven’t scanned through gates (you are skiing with FDB’s or you have been out the gates all day) you may not see a generated list.

3. Once your class list is complete, click into each student and set a student description. First, choose the discipline and then choose the level.

4. Once these two steps are complete, your check-out icons will appear, and you can complete check-out.

5. In this initial period, lessons that are part of a multi-week program will not show a class list. These instructors will not be able to check out. Please check your pay through your schedule. If you have a dispute, contact your superivor.

6. You may also review these steps on this digital tutorial- LINK HERE.

Confirm to Request

This process is generally the same as previous seasons. It is now automated to change your assignment type from ‘Assignment’ to ‘Confirmed to Request’ (rather than the supervisors having to manually change them!). Be sure to double-check that the assignment type is correct when you check out.

Schedule Change Requests

This is mostly a reminder- a request does NOT automatically change your schedule. Until your supervisor team approves it, you will remain as originally scheduled.

This newsletter is short and sweet as this information is so important we wanted to be able to focus on it. If you have questions or need clarification, don’t hesitate to review the digital tutorial or reach out directly.
