MSS Business Overview
Thanks to everyone who has helped create memories and put in hours with our guests to make this season successful! Spring Break is here, with peak volumes from March 11th - 26th. We anticipate a gradual decline in bookings from the end of Spring Break that will keep us busy through the beginning of April with Rendezvous Festival and Easter bringing in late-season business.
The Spring Break peak period runs from March 11th-26th. Please be sure you are scheduled according to your status requirements during this period.
Progressive Performance Pay is an incentive for instructors and guides who meet all their status requirements, and are available to work through the end of the season. Details may be found HERE. Please see your direct supervisor with questions about your availability and how it might impact your PPP eligibility.
Summer Childcare Applications will be coming out soon. If you are in need, please keep an eye on ProCard Messaging or reach out to Hailey Sentz via hailey.sentz@jacksonhole.com.
Upcoming Events
MSS Kids Ranch End-of-Season Party! All MSS staff are invited up to the Kids Ranch on Friday, March 24th at 4:30pm for youth programs awards and celebration! Some food, beverages and games will be provided.
Road to Rendezvous: We are in week three of the spring music series leading up to Rendezvous Festival! All events are free, and run 3-5pm on Saturdays under the tram throughout March. This Saturday, March 18th will be Andrew Bees. See the WEBSITE for more info!
Rendezvous Festival is just a few weeks away! Come on out March 31st-April 1st at the Jackson Town Square and Teton Village to see The Revivalists, ZZ Ward, Ryan Bingham and more. Admission is free; details HERE.
Employee Ski Day is back! All JHMR employees are invited to ski on Monday, April 10th (the day after closing day). The Aerial Tram and Thunder will spin from 9am-12pm. Come take some laps with your friends and coworkers, and don’t forget your pass! Stay tuned for info on an MSS end-of-season celebration immediately after in the base area- more details coming soon.

Uniform Returns
This year, ALL employees must turn in their uniform at the end of the season. We will issue new Mammut uniforms next year, so we want all old kits back and will not offer uniform sign-outs. When you finish your season, please wash your uniform and return it to us using a uniform return option below (note: no uniform returns on Employee Ski Day!)
In-season (March 22nd-April 9th):
Ram Building, 3650 Moose Wilson Rd. (Daily, 3:30-5pm)
MSS Admin Office, Bridger Basement (Daily, 3-4:30pm)
Post-season (April 11th-14th; additional dates may be added if needed):
Ram Building only (9-11am and 3-5pm)
Here's the return process:
Empty and double-check all pockets.
Read and follow washing instructions HERE.
Dry completely. We have no way to dry damp uniforms at Ram. If items are returned damp, we will get mildew.
Place your nametags back in their holders.
Hang your pants on 2 doubled-up plastic hangers or a sturdy wooden one. Uniforms are heavy and hangers often break. We have extra hangers available at Ram.
Zip up all jackets over the pants (do not use a hanger for each piece).
If your uniform looks or smells dirty, we will send you home to wash it! No exceptions.
Please email Toni with any uniform return questions.
News from the MSS Team
The Mountain Sports School would like to recognize and show our appreciation to Alec Blossom, Molly Broom, John Pahls and Luke Toritto for their dedication to their pursuit of professional development by trying out for selection to the Intermountain Education Staff. We would furthermore like to congratulate Alec and Molly for their selection.
Every season, marketing staff conduct surveys about guests' quality of experience at JHMR. Many guests have been singing your praises! Check out these MSS staff shout-outs HERE.
Several of our snowboard instructors- Lacey V, Juls G and Sam G- have been working with the nonprofit organization Carving the Future to introduce underserved communities of Wyoming to snowboarding. Carving the Future works in Teton County and with the Wind River Reservation. Recently, a group from Teton County’s Latina Leadership came to ride with the school- the pictures tell the rest of the story!
